What is Chiropractic ?
Chiropractic is a research-based, safe and a conservative form of manual treatment for common muscle, joint and nerve conditions. The main treatment technique used by Dr. Nick Stryniak, our Chiropractor, is Joint Manipulation, otherwise known as the Chiropractic Adjustment. Joint Manipulation is a safe, gentle manual therapy used following an assessment of the joints and dysfunction is found.
When a joint manipulation is performed, the joints are moved through a normal range of motion, often making a “pop” sound as the fluid within the joint changes pressure. This technique is not only used on the spine, but can be used for any joint in the body. Other treatment techniques provided by the Chiropractor are often used in conjunction with Chiropractic Adjustments to get results as quick as possible, such as: Active Release Techniques, Cox Spinal Decompression, Laser Therapy, Corrective Exercise, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy & Kinesiology Taping.
