Kelly graduated from the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 2002. Most of her 15 years of experience in physiotherapy comes from private practice in orthopaedics but she has also worked in various hospital settings, both in Halifax and in Canada’s far north. In 2017, she completed her training to become a certified Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist and enjoys using this system of stretching to help people maximize their mobility and athletic performance. She is an experienced STOTT PILATES® certified instructor, having training in matwork, small equipment and reformer. She teaches Physio-Pilates group classes and individuals from beginner to advanced with a focus on injury rehabilitation and injury prevention. She has completed numerous post graduate courses in movement dysfunction, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
Kelly prefers a hands-on approach and enjoys helping clients determine the root cause of their pain, not just treat their symptoms. She integrates manual therapy and the mindful movement of Pilates to help individuals recover from injury and achieve a healthy, active lifestyle. Kelly is a former competitive athlete, having competed at the national level in figure skating and track and field. She worked with Dalhousie Varsity Cross Country men’s and women’s teams as Head Trainer. Kelly enjoys working with individuals and athletes of all levels and ages.
