Physiotherapist, Yoga Instructor
Stephanie McCarville is a physiotherapist and yoga teacher. Her unique approach combines physiotherapy and yoga to empower clients to take an active approach to their physical, emotional and mental health. She has a passion to work with individuals who want to work on being the best version of themselves: whether that’s to be stronger, more flexible, have better balance, to slow down or be more mindful. In particular, she loves teaching classes that focus on posture as it often is a root cause of many aches, pains and conditions in a world where we sit too much.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at St. Francis Xavier University in 2003 and graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2005 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Stephanie has worked in many settings as a physiotherapist including private clinics, occupational testing, in the hospital setting in orthopaedics, cardiology and the ICU and most recently at a Community Health Team where she works as Wellness Facilitator promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2018. She strongly believes yoga is for everyone and the combination of her physio and yoga background allows her to modify, adapt, progress and regress poses and exercises to find a safe version for everyone.
She is constantly seeking opportunities to feel joy in her life, has learned to say no to the things that don’t and values the beauty of simplicity. She loves to run, hike, canoe, stand up paddleboard, cook, clean, organize and do yoga 🙂 She values deep connections with her family and friends.
Stephanie offers both group and private PhysioYoga classes at Kinetesis Spine and Joint in Fall River.
