Virtual-Physio: Serving Patients in These Troubling Times

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we as health-care professionals are diligently trying to serve our patients in the best ways possible without risking the spread of the virus.

Because of this,  Virtual-Physio services are the best possible option for us at this time. By providing care for our patients virtually, as opposed to in person, we are able to provide you the care you need from the comfort and safety of your home. We also have Virtual-Chiro available for existing patients who were seen within the last year.

For more information on our Virtual-Physio services and how they may benefit you, feel free to call us at 902-407-7207, or book online at kinetesis.ca

What is Virtual-Physio?

You may be wondering what exactly Virtual-Physio is. Essentially, it is a way for us to make sure that our patients are still receiving the highest possible quality of care they need from a remote location, such as your home or office.

At Kinetesis, our Virtual-Physio services can be accessed via your smartphone or computer, where you will meet 1-on-1 with your Physiotherapist through video-chat. Here, just like in-person, your physiotherapist will listen and ask questions about your issues and perform assessments by asking you to move in different positions. After this, your physiotherapist will provide you with a treatment plan based on your goals and the assessment. This plan will be your road-map to reduce your pain, recover from injury, and reach your goals! This may include home-care recommendations, self-myofascial treatments, exercises, and stretches, as appropriate.

Your physiotherapist will demonstrate the exercises for you, and then watch you perform yours to make sure you are doing them correctly and with good form. On subsequent visits, your Physiotherapist can track your improvement towards your goal, progress your exercises, provide motivation and encouragement, and answer any questions you may have. All without coming directly to our clinic!

There are numerous conditions that can still be treated and improved via Virtual-Physio services, including, but not limited to:

  • Arthritis pain
  • Back pain
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Post-surgical rehab
  • Respiratory issues
  • Sports medicine/athletic training
  • Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease, and other chronic conditions
  • Injury rehab
  • And much more

Benefits of Virtual-Physio

  • Removes accessibility and/or mobility barriers
  • Connects you with service providers regardless of location
  • Protects your privacy through safeguards and robust policies
  • Reduces travel time while still ensuring you receive quality care
